In an eight-team league, every single game is crucial and every point earned is like gold dust. A good run of form can see a team challenging for the title while a loss of momentum can see a side slip towards the bottom.
On March 27th, on a balmy Mong Kok stadium evening, Happy Valley faced off against Southern with both sides knowing that defeat could cut them adrift at the bottom (At the time of writing). Happy Valley are currently mired in a sexism controversy while Southern were looking for a positive result to kick start their momentum.
Happy Valley welcomed back their influential striker/winger, Robert Odu, who made an immediate impact by scoring early in the first half.
Southern showed their resolve and Kota Kawase scored the crucial equaliser. The Aberdeen side had the lion share of chances and opportunities though could not convert them into the vital winner.
The game had a palpable sense of tension and after a blood and thunder match, the entertaining encounter ended 1-1.
