Stadium Guide

The most important games (HKFA, AFC Cup, Cup finals) usually take place at either Mong Kok Stadium (6,600 seats) or Hong Kong Stadium (40,000 seats). Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground (12,000 seats) remains a rarely used alternative. The new Kai Tak Stadium with up to 50,000 seats is currently under construction and will feature a retractable roof. Afterwards, Hong Kong Stadium is expected to be scaled back to a smaller size.

Except for the HKFC Stadium, visitors are generally allowed to bring food and drinks to the venues. For Mong Kok Stadium and Hong Kong Stadium there are usually special arrangements in place. Although cans and bottles are prohibited in these two venues, people are allowed to pour their drinks into free plastic cups at the entrance. Effectively, this means that you can BYOB.

Mong Kok Stadium and Hong Kong Stadium also have F&B vendors inside the venue, while at other sports grounds vendors might be occasionally closed.
