Roberto Losada’s tenure as the new full time head coach of the Hong Kong team was welcomed by a lightning storm which illuminated the night skies around HK stadium for the entire duration of the match.

The ‘lightning’ off the pitch set the tone for the ‘thunder’ on the field and Hong Kong edged past Mongolia in a dicey match. Hong Kong’s two goals came from Juninho (5th minute) & Ng Yu Hei (81st Minute) to seal a win to set the tone for a new era.
Amongst the crowd of over 6000 plus fans was the striker, Michael Udebuluzor, who gave his views on Losada’s appointment as the long-term coach.

“I think the (Losada’s) appointment is good as he knows Hong Kong football the best. I know that there is going to be a transition as the HK team is getting older and they want to make it younger and give more youth players a chance. I think he is the perfect man to do it so I think this makes sense.”
Udebuluzor gave his views on his own ambitions.
“I said to myself, the next time I wear the (HK) jersey, I just have to perform and keep scoring a lot more goals. If I am scoring goals then everyone will be happy and I will be happy!”
