Pegasus maintained second place in the league with a 3-2 comeback win over Lee Man in front of 531 fans on Friday evening, March 3rd, at Hong Kong Stadium. For the seventh time this season, Lee Man once again opened the scoring through their top scorer Stefan Pereira.
In the 12th minute, Pereira lost his marker in the box and headed home from a Tse Long-hin cross. Both sides were keen to add to the scoreline and it did not take long until Travis Major equalized for Pegasus with a right-footed volley with less than ten minutes remaining for the first half.
The game kept its high pace after the break and it was Joao Emir’s quality that brought Pegasus in front with a solo run, after starting from his own half in the 54th minute. Pegasus’ lead did not last long too, as Yu Pui-hong headed in his first goal of the season, benefiting from a mishap by goalkeeper Yuen Ho-chun who missed the cross from the right. Six minutes later, Travis Major was sent on a quick counter-attack down the right and calmly shot past the outcoming Felix Luk. This took Major’s tally of the season to 14 goals, as he shares the top of the chart with Kitchee’s Lucas Silva.
