Gallery: Suwon Battle to a 1-0 Win

Published by:

Suwon Samsung Bluewings were expected to cruise to an easy win over an injury hit Eastern in their Asian Champions League Group G encounter. at Mong Kok stadium. In an impressive battling display, the home side showed  strength of character to put on a resolute defensive display which denied the K League side for large periods of the game. The deadlock was broken on the 77th minute when the Brazilian, Johnathan, header home from close range. Eastern pressed towards the end of the game though this was not enough to snatch a deserved equalizer. With Evergrande stumbling again with another draw, this win for the Bluewings places them in second place on goal difference in ACL Group G. Eastern are still bottom of the group but can take heart from another whole-hearted home effort.

Match report soon.
